RH traces its origins back to 1849 when John Rennie, a Scottish entrepreneur, won a ship in a bet and founded a shipping company that grew into a multi-national operation.

RH Freight itself became a separate company in 1970 when Neville Baxter bought a part of the UK freight operation from the group.

Today, RH is the UK’s leading European road freight business, with a turnover of £90m, employing over 700 staff and running a fleet of several hundred vehicles. RH has departures to and from 60 hubs in Europe.

RH’s striking new livery is a very common sight on Europe’s roads as its trucks deliver customers’ cargo across the continent 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
